MMR acquires creative video & visual design agency Ideal Insight, strengthening its research delivery and storytelling capability.

MMR have purchased leading creative video agency Ideal Insight, an acquisition that will accelerate their quest to bring market research to life in innovative, creative and engaging ways. As well as providing a springboard for the next phase of Ideal insights development, the acquisition reflects MMR’s global strategy of delivering more compelling customer and commercial stories to its research clients.

Since its foundation in 2012 Ideal Insight has grown rapidly, nearly doubling in size over the past 12 months, whilst developing an outstanding reputation for producing highly effective, costefficient content for brands big and small. The acquisition by MMR provides greater business infrastructure, a global office network, and a chance to further invest in a talented team of inhouse designers, videographers, photographers and animators. Ideal Insight will continue to focus on growing clients across many sectors, including education, healthcare and retail, but will supplement this with the development of a storytelling toolkit in the research arena.

Ideal Insight have disrupted the traditional creative agency model, adopting an agile structure that strips back much of the excess resource and process that consumes budget, whilst adding little commercial value. They make creative content that allows companies of all sizes to tell product stories in a way that directly grows consumer connection and sales.

New Ideal Insight Managing Director Ben Fathers, formally of TNS and Tesco, stated “This is a really exciting time for both research and creative services as the two disciplines start to engage more frequently. MMR will be at the forefront of this change, combining our scientific research with creative journalism to bring consumer feedback and market findings to life in an effective and exciting new way”.

Mat Lintern, Global MMR CEO said “We’re extremely excited by the acquisition of Ideal Insight, with the support that MMR can provide meaning the growth of an already strong brand can be super-charged. The fact that we can now leverage a talented team of commercially-orientated creatives in our traditional research areas is a massive plus as we strive to ensure our research findings have maximum impact.”

Ideal Insight’s outstanding array of creative services have seen it work around the world on over 3,000 projects, including work ranging from TV adverts to record breaking social media campaigns. Clients including many household names such as John Lewis, Virgin Active and the NHS.
